Fabulous Friday Finds

Hoping everyone has a wonderful Labor Day - UGH - the last offical summer weekend (don't worry I'm sure the thermometer will climb back up into the 90's as soon as we put away our summer duds).

Happy Labor Day!

This Friday's finds include everything at Ruche where the clothes (and prices) are amazing, Mini Moderns gorgeous patterns on pillows and wallpaper, amazing planter installation art, my tea obsession continues with Nathalia Ponomareva’s amazing little origami teabags, why buy a rake when you have an old Smith Corona handy, yummy meringue rings, Miniature Rhino's ingenius embroidered constellations and the totally amazing Yael Fran's comic book artist collaborations (and Yael has a locket)!

Having a Breakdown ....

UPDATE
Things I have broken this week:

1. A fingernail (but this is a good thing because it was my last "long" one, so now they all match again- actually that sounds kind of creepy like I just let them grow all wild- which I might if I didn't break them all the time- but I don't, so it isn't)

2. A really cute little juice glass from a set in the sale section of Anthropologie that I will never find again, so now when hubby has his Sunday morning OJ - I will be drinking straight from the carton (also not a bad thing now that I think about it)

3. A test tube (that was bubble wrapped and fell just 2 feet from my shipping table when I was on the other side of the room - spooky ... and it didn't just break ... it shattered ... which was totally impossible, but happened anyway)

4. A Sephora bronzing powder compact

5. A replacement Sephora bronzing powder compact

6. My heart (sort of, but more on this another time)

UPDATE
Things I have NOT broken this week:

1. Anybody else's heart, I think

2. A promise to anyone (unless I crossed my fingers when I made it, of course)

3. The law (we'll just exclude traffic situations with this one)

4. Any land speed records (again we will exclude any traffic situations)

5. Out of my rut

AND THE WINNER IS .... ROSCATA on Etsy (chosen by random number generator 342)- check out her amazing shop! A great big thank you to everyone who entered!

I am imagining that as a child someone may have told Amalia Versaci to just "zip it" and being a very literal and creative and genius child - she did!

Her amazing vintage zipper creations always make me so happy. They are totally unique and totally recycled and totally fun!

I have one of her zipper magnets and it is gorgeous and sturdy and perfect fidget material for a fidgeter like me!

WHAT YOU GET:
One lucky winner will receive a set of 4 vintage Amalia Versaci zipper magnets!

These will bring inspiration and organization to any magnetic surface and carry with them the memories of the dresses (and trousers) they zipped and unzipped in their younger days (oh, the stories an old zipper could tell us- good thing they keep their mouths zipped so our secrets are safe with them, huh?)
